The Early Childhood Universal Behaviors Sustainability Index (ECUBS; Ai, Horn, & Bigelow, 2022) was developed to measure the status of the implementation and sustainability of early childhood positive behavior support (PBS) in early child care and education. This instrument was adapted from the School-Wide Universal Behaviors Sustainability Index-School Teams (SUBSIST; McIntosh et al., 2009) after permission was granted by the original authors. The resulting 30-item ECUBS was evaluated in a sample of administrators from target child care centers. Reliability results were reported for these items. As for limitations, the authors noted the relatively low return rate (11.52%, Smith & Bost, 2007) and small sample size. (PsycTests Database Record (c) 2022 APA, all rights reserved)
